1属1種。Scirtothrips属に似るが本属は触角が7節であることで識別できる。本種はこれまで本州から知られており、5~6月にスダジイやマテバシイなどブナ科の花や新葉から得られている。
This monotypic genus is very similar to Scirtothrips but can be distinguished from the latter genus by 7-segmented antennae. This species has been recorded from Honshu. It occurs on the flowers or young leaves of Fagaceae such as Castanopsis sieboldii and Lithocarpus edulis.
